BIASES OF RHETORIC:

Any of several techniques which are used to convince or sway readers, without appealing to reason1,2,3. Also a general term to describe White Hat Bias. Also see: Interpretive Bias, White Hat Bias, and What The Hell Can We Tell The Public Bias.
