CONFORMITY PUBLICATION BIAS:
A type of Publication Bias that occurs when confirmatory studies are published, and those that contradict currently held beliefs, whether null or not, are not published1.
Conformity Publication Bias may lead to erroneous conclusions being drawn in studies of knowledge synthesis (e.g. systematic reviews), and may be due to the unwillingness of reviewers and journal editors to counter prevailing wisdom1. Also another term to describe Hot Stuff Bias. Also see: Hot Stuff Bias, Positive Results Bias, All’s Well Literature Bias, and White Hat Bias.
