DISFAVOURED RESOURCE ALLOCATION BIAS:

When a person over-emphasizes the positive aspects of a research study if it suggests that fewer resources should be allotted to an area of healthcare, or science which they are familiar with, or specialize in1. For example, someone may dismiss the findings of study which suggests more funding is needed, if they believe that resources should be allotted elsewhere due to inefficiency or underutilization in their current area.

Disfavoured Resource Allocation Bias is a specific type of Interpretive Bias, the opposite of Favoured Resource Allocation Bias, and similar to Bias Due to Conflicts of Interest. Promoting a study based on its message instead of its quality may lead to inefficient and/or inappropriate allocation of funds; which may affect health and safety. Also see: Interpretive Bias, Bias Due to Conflicts of Interest, Favoured Resource Allocation Bias, and Not My Scene Bias.
