ESTIMATION BIAS:
A general term that refers to any systematic errors in estimation by people, or participants or researchers in a scientific study1,2. The term Estimation Bias is non-specific, and therefore could refer to any number of Selection, or Information biases described in this dictionary. Also see: Underestimation Bias, Research Bias, Magnitude Bias, Small Sample Bias, and Algorithmic Bias.
