FAVOURED RESOURCE ALLOCATION BIAS:
When a person over-emphasizes the positive implications of a research study if it suggests that more resources should be allotted to an area of healthcare which they specialize in1. Favoured Resource Allocation Bias is a specific type of Interpretive Bias, and similar to Bias Due to Conflicts of Interest.
Promoting a study based on its message instead of its quality may lead to inefficient and/or inappropriate allocation of funds; which may affect health and safety. Also see: Interpretive Bias, Bias Due to Conflicts of Interest, and Disfavoured Resource Allocation Bias.
