Over-emphasizing the data, results, or importance of a study because they conform to prior expectations1. The Results We’ve All Been Waiting For Bias is a type of Interpretative Bias, and also used as a synonym for Confirmation Bias. The Results We’ve All Been Waiting For Bias is used to justify currently accepted procedures, clinical decision rules, treatment paradigms, or methods that are used in the absence of scientific evidence.
